FACIAL SKIN CARE USING FACE MASQUES

Good Facial Skin Care creates a canvas for the application of your makeup.

Face Masques using natural ingredients can give your skin a more youthful appearance and a natural glow; some masques contain synthetic substances and chemicals to help with the removal of the masque which negates the natural content from which the masque is made.

The theory is that when applied in liquid state to the face, the thick creamy consistency from which the product is made lays on the skin and when allowed to dry lifts dirt and oils whilst unblocking pores, when the masque is finally removed it reveals your healthy skin beneath.

It is important to identify your natural skin type (oily, normal or dry) and use only the correct masque.

There are many different brands of face masques containing various ingredients and it is best if you chose the more natural products, paying more does not equate always to a better product as there are some excellent face masques made simply from ingredients found in your kitchen, a search under home remedies can produce some results and we are looking at some which if prove effective we will be recommending, so watch this space.

It is best to use a face masque sparingly and it is important to remember that they are not designed to replace normal cleansing routines; you can over stimulate the facial tissues causing irritation and stress to your delicate facial tissues so applying once ever two to three weeks would be sufficient.

When applying the masque it is prudent to use a thin layer which will reduce the drying time, avoiding sensitive areas like the eyes, eyebrows, and hairline and around the lips and mouth.

Relaxing with the masque on for no more than 10- 20 minutes is usually sufficient for the masque to lose its tacky feeling and for it to have cleansed the skin.

Remove the masque by peeling from the chin upwards to remove from the face, this lifts the skin rather than drags it in a downward direction, after you have removed the masque you could experience a slight tingling sensation, this is to be expected as the skin returns to its normality, leaving you with beautiful glowing complexion.

If you feel the need to rinse then use tepid water not hot or too cold and pat dry with a soft towel or paper towel, apply a facial toner or other gentle skin care product suitable for the facial tissue.

Where possible select products that use natural ingredients and preferably with a Citrus base, Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit and Orange are common citrus fruits that are widely used.

A little experimentation will give you confidence and help you to get used to the feeling of having the masque attached to your face and help you select the right product for you.

We wish you all the best in your facial masking techniques and hope you find the information useful.
